London’s new Routemaster-style bus

November 11, 2010 -- London mayor Boris Johnson has unveiled a full-scale model of a new double-decker bus scheduled to come into service in 2012. The new bus is inspired by London's iconic Routemaster, offering passengers the traditional hop-on hop-off service, but it is more accessible and uses the latest green technology to ensure it is more environmentally friendly.
