Spanish collapse of a real estate cost 184 billion euros

Milagros Carbajo (R) is hugged by a supporter before being evicted from her home in Madrid, in this file picture taken June 27, 2012. Spanish banks will learn from an audit on September 28, 2012, the extent of the damage from the collapse of a real estate boom that left the sector with 184 billion euros in repossessions and bad loans. The posters read: "Stop evictions" (R), "Enough, let's stop evictions" (in black) and "We rescue speculators and we condemn families" (bottom L).
